Triangle Apron

I made this cute apron for my sister-in-law for her bridal shower back in the summer. I used an apron that someone gave me for my bridal shower back when I got married as my pattern. My sister-in-law's apron turned out really cute, and probably one of the better sewing projects I have ever made.

Changing Table Cover

Changing table covers are expensive in the store. I know material can be expensive, too, but when you get it for $2.50 a yard, you just saved yourself about $12 dollars- or more! Plus, you get to pick exactly what material you want, instead of being restricted to the covers already made and in stores.

I actually did not buy the material I used for my changing table cover for the purpose of making it into a cover. Instead I bought it for a recieving blanket, but changed my mind when I didn't get a cover for my baby shower. It turned out cute, and it was so easy to make.

The only thing I did different was a few sewing tricks, like sew the sides on, and then sew the edges together, instead of pin them all at once. Also, I don't really like feeding my elastic through, so I sew around it- making sure there is plenty of elastic at both ends. Then when I get close to the end, I tie it together, and sew the final stiches around the elastic.

Newborn Nightgown I am having a baby in just over a month, so I thought I would try to make him a newborn nightgown. First I used a pr-emade nightgown to measure the size. I folded my fabric in half, so there was four layers to be cut. I folded the pre-made nightgown in half and lade it on top of the material. The picture is not accurate because I lade the pre-made nightgown on the side, so I wouldn't have to cut around the back of the nightgown. I then cut around the premade nightgown (except the back), leaving enough space to sew the new nightgown. I sewed around the new nightgown after turning it inside out, skipping the bottom, wrist holes, and neck. I used strechy binding for the bottom, wrist holes, and neck. I don't have a good tip to do this, so good luck on that one!! (If you know of a tip, let me know).

Christmas Stockings I made these stockings with left over table cloth material from my wedding. They match our ornament colors. I also used big white initial ornaments instead of our names. I hot glued all of the decorations onto the stockings.
